Audrey Hepburn (who had already made Sabrina with Wilder) is at her best as the inexperienced cellist with a fascination for millionaire American playboy Gary Cooper. Maurice Chevalier (who else?) is Hepburn’s father, a private detective with ample …

There are but a mere hundred ways to fall in love, and yet possibly nothing has thus swayed the imagination of poets, writers and people than this- falling in love with a person on first sight. What is it about meeting a person you fancy and just knowing that you will be spending the rest of your life with him or her? It truly is hard to define such a feeling in words. People say that you have to experience it to know it.
Experts say that falling in love at first sight has more to do with outward appearances or a particular facial feature. There is nothing scientific about it. Most of us have an image in our minds about how we would like our prospective partner to look like, even detailing minor details such as the color of the hair and the eyes. Subconsciously, your mind has the image imprinted firmly, and when you come across such a person, it is possible that, your mind matches the image it has with what it sees in front of you. Which is why most people who fall in love, actually end up with the kind of people they were looking for in the first place? Others say that it is not love but a liking which takes place at first sight, and when the interest is pursued, becomes a full emotion.
However whatever people say, wherever you look, love at first sight sells. Be it in an advertisement, as Valentine’s Day or even in a movie. If you had to randomly ask people to name their favorite movies, one is bound to be a love story, which celebrates love at first sight. No matter what society thinks, falling in love at first sight will always make up a huge part of our fantasies. So If you ever fall in love and want to add flavors to it, then checkout the love quotes section at one of the best website in quotations and poems www.best-quotes-poems.com

classical pieces and wedding marches? suggestions, please….?
I like classical music (I don’t play instruments and can’t read music) but I know what I like and don’t like when listening…I’ve always wanted to walk down the asile to something classical but not the typical wedding march (dunno what’s it called). What is your opinion of these 2 pieces for a wedding march? Any that can be done w/ a violin and piano? Do u have any more suggestions….thanks!
Clara Schumann – Romance in G Minor
Vivaldi (one of the 4 seasons, that is soft can’t remember the name of the piece)
The choices offered before mine are good – if a bit played out.
The Wedding March (“Here Comes the Bride”) is from Wagner’s opera Lohengin. The bride in the opera is called Elsa. The song just before the Wedding March in the opera is called “Elsa’s Processional to the Cathedral.” It’s so pretty & not too common. It’s long, so you can use it for everyone who walks down the aisle.
Go onto Amazon and listen to some samples of Classical Pieces and Wedding CD’s. Pick something you love.
Good Luck.
Fritz Kreisler – Schumann Romance in A Major, Op. 94, #2
Every track on this CD contains a beautiful melody, many of them easily recognizable, all of them exuding tranquility. “O mio babbino caro” from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi opens the disc, with Bell delicately accompanied by a harp and spinning the long melody with great sensitivity. Bellini’s “Casta diva” from Norma lives up to its reputation as the epitome of bel canto in Bell’s hands; his violin …

I recently watched the 2009 miniseries of this (PBS). I have read works of the other Brontes such as Jane Eyre and Tenant of Wildfell Hall, and while the characters in those books are sometimes flawed, I found them sympathetic.
While watching WH, though, I felt little pity for Cathy, and nothing for Heathcliffe. They were complex, well-imagined characters, but I had no sympathy for their plight. In the book, does the reader feel more drawn to them, and their romance? Or do they still come off as two really mismatched people who make a string of poor decisions?
I was just curious whether the film had done the book justice or not.
I’ve read the book and seen several of the adaptations and, while I thought the 2009 miniseries was really good in some ways, it wasn’t totally faithful to the book and failed in many respects. As another poster mentioned, neither Heathcliff nor Cathy are meant to be sympathetic characters. Heathcliff starts out a fairly likable guy, but turns out to be a complete psychopath, as you know — and, arguably, Heathcliff’s story is the central plot of the book, not the romance. The most recent adaptation doesn’t really show Heathcliff’s psychology effectively (not as effectively as the book, anyway) or create any conflict within the viewer about whether Cathy is the victim or the villain — or Healthcliff, for that matter. I definitely felt that their romance is more compelling in the book because of this conflict and the way Bronte manipulates us one way and then the other; you really end up wondering who to root for. That said, I recommend you read the book and see what you think of Cathy and Heathcliff for yourself. Besides the intellectual material, it’s very entertaining.
As for the movies, the aforementioned 1992 Fiennes/Binoche film was a nice, accurate adaptation, as was the 1998 Cavanah/Brady one (despite that they were a bit too old).

After the visual bombast of many contemporary CG and motion-capture features, the drawn characters in The Princess and the Frog, the Walt Disney Studio’s eagerly awaited return to traditional animation, feel doubly welcome. Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin), The Princess and the Frog moves the classic fairy tale to a snazzy version of 1920s New Orleans. Tiana (…
This movie is like eating bonbons in a hothouse. For some films, walking the fine line between sublime and silly becomes an entertainment in itself, and such is the case with I Am Love, Luca Guadagnino’s lush drama set within an Italian business dynasty in Milan. We see much of the film from the perspective of an outsider who has nevertheless fitted herself into this aristocratic world for many ye…
